We bought this dress for my daughter on her third birthday (I think medium size - she's tall), and she is now almost six. We still have this dress and it has survived countless machine washings. It is so comfortable on her, and she has loved wearing it since receiving it (albeit it looks a bit goofy on her now that she has outgrown it - but the soft top fabric still stretches). The other review mentioned it was made of flimsy fabric. I understand what they are saying. The china silk of the skirt is thin, but since the area around the waist has an extra layer, it has not been an issue for us. Sometimes I had her wear tights or leggings if we were going out. You could also wear a slip or tutu underneath to make the skirt fuller. The top is crushed velvet, so is soft and not flimsy. The dress is durable. She has gotten many compliments on the dress and more importantly, truly felt like Belle the princess in it. I have bought one of these Little Adventures brand princess dresses for her each year, and they are her favorites. We can wash them in the machine (hang dry) and she can wear them out like regular dresses. We love them.

This dress was very flimsy - more like a nightgown. The color was also much more yellow than expected, but I returned it without any problems. The company has already refunded me.
