This a very different kind of tow-able. My family and I order it for our family trip to the lake. It is very hard to learn how to use, but once you get it figured out, it is awesome. My biggest let down was that the third day we used it, it burst open at the seams to the point that it isn't patchable.

Tried this a couple of times and I spent a lot of time facing backwards. Not so easy to maneuver as one might think. Next weekend I took it out and one of the fins broke loose from the tube creating a 1.5" hole. Needless to say this thing shouldn't fall apart the 3rd time you use it. I placed a patch over the area and put air back in and a few hours later some air is still managing to leak. This is probably a waste of your hard earned money.
